Brief Biography
Born from humble beginnings into a Christian family in Accra bubbled with unique talent in contemporary gospel music, Sammy holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering with KNUST, Ghana coupled with strong practical expertise and extensive industry knowledge in electronic information handling disciplines. He has been lecturing in the faculty of Engineering since 2006. His immense experience in Multidisciplinary Electronics earns him being an innovative lecturer who generates knowledge by adopting heuristics approaches to teaching problem-solving skills that prepare students with creative attitude for innovative business practice.
His professional expertise is in the design, building, and analysis of: Analog and Digital Electronic Systems, Communication Electronics Systems, Integrated Microelectronics and Wireless Systems, Microcomputer Technology Systems (Hardware), Electronic Control Systems, Mechatronics Systems, and Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Systems. His recent publication is Optimizing Communication Inverter for Telecom and Utility Applications, 2014. Currently, he is the Project Coordinator for the Faculty of Engineering, GTUC and a founding member of the GTUC Choir.
Strengthening his professional reputation and practice as a Chartered Professional Engineer, Obeng-Addae is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Ghana, a member of the Engineering Council of Ghana.
